Self-Catering Accommodation
In response to a growing demand from students for self-catering accommodation, English in Chester now offers accommodation at English House - the school's own student residence.
English House
English House is English in Chester’s student self-catering residence. It is open year-round and is available to students aged 20 and over studying at the school for a minimum period of 4 weeks.
The rooms are furnished to a high standard. All rooms are en-suite. There is free WiFi access in every room. Students share the modern fully-equipped kitchen areas and have access to a washing machine. Sheets are provided and are changed weekly. There is a large and comfortable lounge with LCD television available for all residents.
English House is located in a quiet street in Hoole - one of Chester’s most pleasant suburbs. It is a 15/20-minute walk from the city centre and a 20/25-minute walk to school, or there are buses available. There are excellent local shopping facilities in the next street.
Rooms cost £110.00 per student per week for single occupancy (£130.00 per student per week between Sunday 1 July and Saturday 1 September). If two people share a room the cost is £75.00 per student per week (£90.00 per student per week in the summer).
Other Self-Catering Accommodation
During the summer months English in Chester offers University of Chester residential accommodation in Powys Court. This is available from Monday 9 July to 16 September 2012. The cost for a single room is £105.00 per week.
Occasionally other options are available. These can include self catering in a homestay or private residential accommodation, which is used by University of Chester students during term time. Costs vary and start from £82.00 per week.
