This summer course, run on the University of Chester campus, is only for individual teenagers and "mini" groups (maximum 10 students per group). We create opportunities for students to increase their confidence in English at the same time as they learn about the culture and customs of other nations. The afternoon activities and excursions encourage the students to work together in English, activating their language in a natural and communicative manner.

English in Chester has been running Vacation Courses for Teenagers for many years. The special features of our courses are:

No large groups, so every student is known and treated as an individual
A high student to staff ratio (10:1) – for extra care at all times
A maximum of 80 students, allowing us to give a lot of attention to every student
An excellent nationality mix - giving more opportunity for students to speak English
A varied, high quality social programme
Very good homestay accommodation with welcoming and caring families

Package Price

Package price: £475.00. This fee includes tuition and the fully supervised excursion/activity programme (£320.00) as well as an accommodation placement fee, homestay accommodation in a shared/single room with a packed lunch supplement (£155.00). There is an additional accommodation placement fee of £30.00 and a charge for airport transfers or the Meet and Greet service.

The Programme

Morning lessons focus on actively improving communication in spoken English. The afternoon excursion/activity programme is one of the outstanding features of the course. It is:

an integral part of the whole language learning experience
designed to be enjoyable and stimulating
an opportunity to develop language, social and sporting skills

09.30 - 11.00	Language Focus - enabling you to use language structures with confidence.					Full-day excursion to Liverpool with a visit to the Albert Dock, the Beatles Museum and the City Centre.
Break
11.30 - 13.00	Skills focus - improving your spoken and written English using newspapers, magazines, radio programmes, poems and songs. Preparation for your afternoon visits.
Lunch
14.15 - 15.45	Project: A Roman soldier's Chester	Football or Basketball or Art	Project: Make a video	Volleyball or Rounders or Drama	Visit to Manchester United Visitor Centre
