Examination Courses IELTS & TOEIC

It is always valuable to take an internationally-recognised examination. This can help you in your work, study and career development. We offer a range of examinations at different levels to meet the needs of our students.

IELTS is an internationally-recognised exam and most students need it to prove their level of English for study at University.

Students at B1+ level on the General English Course following Route D (University Preparation Course) are normally prepared to take IELTS in May and December (and September, subject to demand). Students can also enter for IELTS independently at other times of the year. IELTS examinations take place at Liverpool University.

TOEIC can be taken at English in Chester on any Friday by request (fees on application).
