When you are writing, checking your work is one of the most important stages. Here is some practice in spotting mistakes: some of these sentences have mistakes, and some are correct. If you think there is a mistake, try writing down the correct sentence.

8. I expect taxes to raise as a result of the new budget. 
9. I didn't finish my work yet so I can't go home. 
10. I can't afford to eat out in restaurants every week.
