This exercise looks at the language used in describing a bar chart. This is useful for many students, and especially those who are taking the IELTS exam.

The above chart show the results of a survey carried out in Chester in March 2007. The numbers on the left show how many hours per week teenagers spent doing the following activities: going to pubs/discos, watching television, shopping, doing homework, doing sport, watching DVDs and bowling.
