Our General English Courses aim to develop the ability to communicate effectively. All aspects of language are covered with an emphasis on speaking and listening. The carefully structured and flexible courses give students an opportunity to select afternoon options to meet their specific needs.

It is possible to combine a General English Course with:

• Preparation for further study in the UK
• IELTS and other exam preparation
• Additional Individual Lessons

Students can begin on any Monday during the period 7 January to 19 December and must enrol for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Long courses: Students who want a long course are advised to start on 7 January, 7 April, 30 June or 29 September.

There is a special tuition fee of £170 per week for students who enrol for an academic year (36 weeks). The fee is applicable only when fees are paid in full in advance. If a student curtails his/her course the fee paid is not normally refundable.

* If students transfer to a Cambridge FCE, CAE or CPE Examination Course during their studies in Chester there is a £115 supplement to cover the provision of a course book (and practice book if appropriate) and all examination fees.
