Route A (English Skills & Communication) is designed for students who need to improve their overall competence in General English.
Specially-designed afternoon options are available throughout the year to help students to improve their language skills (reading, writing, speaking, pronunciation, listening), and to discuss and explore cultural areas of interest. Options may include, for example: Conversation Skills, Improve your Vocabulary, Communication Activities, Grammar Workshop, Reading and Discussion, Writing, English through Drama, Film and Literature.

There is a special tuition fee of £185 per week for students who enrol for an academic year (36 weeks). The fee is applicable only when fees are paid in full in advance. If a student curtails his/her course the fee paid is not normally refundable.
* If students transfer to a Cambridge FCE, CAE or BEC Examination Course during their studies in Chester there is a £200 supplement to cover the provision of a course book (and practice book if appropriate) and all examination fees.
Please note, on our courses there will be no lessons on public holidays in 2010: Friday 2 April, Monday 5 April, Monday 3 May, Monday 31 May and Monday 30 August.
Students on this course will have free access to our new internet-based e-learning materials, before, during and for a 6-month period after their course.
