General English for Adults
Route D: University Preparation Courses

Students: Adults (17 & over)
Written parental approval is required for 17 year olds joining the course.
Course Length: Higher level: 20 weeks
Lower level: 12 or 20 weeks
It may be possible for students to book a shorter course. Please contact the school for information.
Tuition: Higher level: 28 lessons / 21 hours per week including 20 lessons on the General English course and 8 lessons of University preparation
Lower level: 28 lessons / 21 hours per week including 20 lessons on the General English course, 4 lessons from a choice of afternoon options and 4 lessons of University preparation
Class Size: Maximum 12
Levels: Higher (B1/B2+) and lower (A2)

course details

Route D (University Preparation Courses) combine Academic English, Study Skills and IELTS preparation for undergraduate and postgraduate study at a British University.

Students who are planning to move on to higher education may join University Preparation options to prepare them for university life in this country. These options will include IELTS preparation (for students at level B1+).

We can also offer support to students applying to go on to University if this is required.

Please note, on our courses there will be no lessons on public holidays in 2010: Friday 2 April, Monday 5 April, Monday 3 May, Monday 31 May and Monday 30 August.

Students on this course will have free access to our new internet-based e-learning materials, before, during and for a 6-month period after their course.
