course details

Pre-sessional courses are necessary for students who have been accepted by Keele University or the University of Chester but who need to improve their English language level. These universities will recommend an English in Chester course.

If you are accepted on a pre-sessional course you will then receive an unconditional offer for undergraduate or postgraduate study at your chosen university. To progress to your chosen university you must, of course, have a good attendance record, satisfactorily complete your course assignments and be recommended by your course tutor.

There are different entry points depending on your level of English. Students with a low level of English can follow a General English course before transferring to a pre-sessional course. A week of tuition on a General English course will cost £195.

These courses include language development and study skills sessions for students who are planning to continue their studies at the University of Chester or Keele University.

These courses are in addition to, and complement our University Preparation Courses.
