23 November 2007: Add a word to make a word!

Well, Chester is looking really lovely today, it's a clear frosty day with bright sunshine, blue sky and is very cold. The Christmas lights are all up and the tree at the Cross is looking very attractive. Late shopping every Thursday and you can get to Liverpool and back for one pound. For those who like Christmas it's great, for others it's a nightmare!

I thought we might try a new type of exercise today...

Exercise
Column A contains three words. You have to match one word in Column B which can be added to all three words to make a new word. It can be either a two word noun or a single word noun or adjective.
Example: chair; police; snow. If you add the word man you get: chairman; policeman; snowman.
Drag-and-drop your chosen answer into one of the spaces below. Only use each answer once.
stamp
water
tea
cup

The saying this week is "You win some, you lose some". It means you can't be lucky all the time.

Have a good two weeks. Love from Harriet and everyone at English in Chester!
