Love is in the air and all of you who know and remember Hannah will be pleased to hear that she is getting married today! I am sure it will be a wonderful day, that Richard will make a very amusing speech and that Hannah will look lovely in her dress. I am sure that you will join all of us here at English in Chester in wishing them every happiness in their future life together. So with love and romance in the air I thought we would look at words and expressions to do with love and romance today.
Here are the ideal stages in a relationship according to Mathew and Jan in the office. See if you can put them into the correct order. You may well disagree with the order they have decided (in brackets).
• Move in together (10)
• Go on a first date (3)
• Fall in love (6)
• Meet someone (1)
• Introduce him/her to your parents and meet his/her parents (7)
• Fancy someone (2)
• Start going out together (5)
• Become more serious about each other (8)
• Have the first kiss (4)
Expressions to do with love to learn this week:
• To fall in love at first sight
• To have a row
• To kiss and make up
• To split up
• To meet someone new
Have a great two weeks and let me know if you decide to get married!
From Harriet and everyone at English in Chester!
