Stay In Touch

22 August 2008: Staying in Touch

The trouble about the summer is that people come and people go and time passes so quickly that no sooner have people got to know each other than it is time to go home again. We have a lot of tears on a Friday when it is time to say goodbye, but the important thing is to keep in touch with the friends you have made at English in Chester. So today we are looking at expressions to do with staying in touch.

Exercise
Choose the correct ending to make a complete expression.
Drop me
Give
Write me
Send me
Come
I'll
Do drop
I'll welcome you
Do

Enjoy the last of the summer and don't forget to keep up with your English.

The word this week is contentious which means something which causes disagreement between people or groups of people. "Education today is a contentious issue."

Have a good fortnight!
Best wishes
