4 September 2009: The Weather

Well, August is over, the schools have started for the new academic year but here in Britain we are still waiting for the long hot days that we were promised early in May. The summer seems to have forgotten us this year and we have had a lot of rain but very little sunshine. However, life at English in Chester is just as enjoyable as always and everybody seems to be having a good time and to be learning a lot of English. As you all know everyone in this country always enjoys talking about the weather so I thought I would look at some typical ways of starting a conversation with someone from Britain. The weather is always a popular topic!
