The beginners’ salsa lesson starts at 20:00 and the improvers’ lesson starts around 20:45. Both classes usually last for 45 minutes. After the lessons finish, mixed salsa music is played until 00:30 (one class £5, two classes £7).

The music played is a mix of newer salsa styles, such as funky salsa and salsaton, to the older favorites like Cuban and New York as well as some bachata, merengue, cha cha and kizomba music.

The City leaders would hand over the keys to the City to the City Watch (early police force) after processing around the City to make sure it was safe. Winter Watch has been turned into a fun parade which goes around the City centre including St Werburgh Street, Northgate Street and Bridge Street. There are performances including dance, fire breathing and sword fights.

70 traditional wooden chalets situated in the heart of Chester, all wrapped around a sparkling Christmas tree.

There will be lots of festive treats and gifts on offer, including  local and regional products, crafts, clothing, accessories, jewellery and stocking fillers, which are sure to make the perfect present!

Don't forget to sample the delicious hot food and drink, including tasty mulled wine, the perfect way to keep warm whilst enjoying the market.
