The beginners’ salsa lesson starts at 20:00 and the improvers’ lesson starts around 20:45. Both classes usually last for 45 minutes. After the lessons finish, mixed salsa music is played until 00:30 (one class £5, two classes £7).

The music played is a mix of newer salsa styles, such as funky salsa and salsaton, to the older favorites like Cuban and New York as well as some bachata, merengue, cha cha and kizomba music.

The Jodrell Bank Observatory hosts a number of radio telescopes and is part of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Manchester.

 The main telescope at the observatory is the Lovell Telescope, which is the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world.

Chester Racecourse, also known as the Roodee, the oldest racecourse still in use in England. Horse racing at Chester dates back to the early 16th century. Soak up the atmosphere at the 188BET Chester Cup Day - first race is at 13:50 and the last race of the day is at 17:15.

The Open Course is located within the centre of the race track and is the ideal setting for a relaxed day at the races. Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day at the gate for £10. See the racecourse website for more information and to book tickets. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Portmeirion is a unique village is set on its own private peninsula on the southern shores of Snowdonia. It was created by Welsh architect Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village to demonstrate how a naturally beautiful place could be developed without spoiling it.

Portmeirion is made up of about 50 buildings most of which are now used as hotel or self-catering accommodation and surrounded by 70 acres of sub-tropical woodland gardens.

Enjoy a trip to Portmeirion village with Martin and enjoy walking around the scenery.

Roman Candle is delighted to welcome John Smith with special guest Louis Baker to St Mary's Creative Space, Chester.

John first made his name on the folk circuit, opening for folk greats John Martyn, Davy Graham and John Renbourn; but has since opened shows for Iron And Wine, Tinariwen, Gil Scott Heron and Ben Howard. He has guested with artists such as Jackson Browne, Martin Carthy, Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker, Jerry Douglas, Glen Hansard and Rodney Crowell; and in his occasional role as sideman, he has played guitar for artists such as David Gray, Lisa Hannigan, Lianne La Havas, Joe Henry and Joan Baez.

    Last weekend we welcomed the Spring TEN Fam trip! a great group of new and known ETOs from all over the world: Venezuela, Portugal, Turkey, Thailand, France, Spain, Russia, Estonia and Germany! During this trip they all had the opportunity to see all the TEN schools in Chester, Cambridge, Bristol, Brighton, Eastbourne, Portsmouth, Wimbledon, Bournemouth, Torquay and Muswell Hill (London).
