Chester Racecourse, also known as the Roodee, the oldest racecourse still in use in England. Horse racing at Chester dates back to the early 16th century. Soak up the atmosphere at the City Day, the last meeting of the year. First race is at 13:50 and the last race of the day is at 17:05.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day at the gate from £10. See the racecourse website for more information and to book tickets. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
